Body Tissues. 

The tissue are similar cells from the same origin, together that carry out a specific function and also is a cellular organizational level that covers the area between cells and organs. There are different tissues for each specie, for humans there exists four types.

·        Epithelial tissue:

This tissue consists on a pack of cells that are together forming a continuous layer. The cells are tightly together by cell junctions. This tissue cover the surfaces like skin, cavities and hollow organs. The epithelial tissue has three types of its kind, depending in the number of layers and shapes of the cells this tissue can be: Squamous, cuboidal or columnar. The characteristic of the Squamous epithelium are the flat cells and is found in the lungs and blood vessels.

Cuboidal epithelium contains cube-shaped cells. The columnar epithelium has a rectangular shape and is taller and wider with the nuclei in the bottom of each cell.

The simple epithelium causes secretion (production of substances like mucus, sweat and enzymes) and absorption (intake of fluids).  

·        Connective tissue:

Consists in cells that are widely separated by a matrix, which is made up of a ground substances and fibers. The ground substance is a component of the connective tissue that consists in solid to jellylike fluid.

The connective tissue contains immature cells and it binds the organs together. Same as the epithelial tissue, the connective has different types of tissue like: Loose, Dense, Adipose Reticular, Cartilage, Bone, Blood and Lymph.

·        Muscle tissue:

The muscle tissue is formed by elongated cells called muscle fiber that use ATP to regenerate force. This is a superficial tissue and there are three types of it: Smooth Muscle Tissue (Involuntary Control), Cardiac Muscle Tissue (Involuntary Control) and Skeletal Muscle Tissue (Voluntary Control).

·        Nervous tissue:

This tissue consists in two types of cells, neurons and neuroglia, and its present in the brain and spinal cord, this tissue is in charge of what the body feels in every physical aspect.
